Reflections on the spiritual journey in today's world, from a fellow traveler...

It's a New Day!

I had an epiphany of sorts today. Lately I've been a little down about certain aspects of my life- struggling to gain a deeper sense of my purpose and true calling. I felt like I was sort of going through the motions, coasting, not being effective, lacking dynamic energy.

Then I realized that each day is a new day. Yesterday is gone, and tomorrow isn't here yet, so I asked God to help me be present now in this moment.

Each of us has a light within us that we can celebrate and show to the world what great things God is doing in our lives, or we can try to hide that light thinking somehow that it's not good enough or doesn't matter.

I am here to say to you today that your light does matter!

So let it shine- brightly, unashamedly, with no guilt, no regrets...

Put it out there, and risk living!!

That is my epiphany...

Now I can't wait to go back out there and let my spark shine- at work, in my home, in church, out in the community with my neighbors, and everywhere else in between.

Why don't you join me?

Seeking to be the light of the world,

John
